NBA 2K20 "You do not meet the requirements to have a MyPlayer Account and play online."

You need to purchase a Gold subscription by getting a pre-paid card from a local store or adding a payment method such as a credit/debit card or PayPal to your account and subscribing to the membership. The larger the subscription, the more of a discount
you get on each month as well.

Also if you are under a certain age, you may need a parent or guardian to register themselves on a free account and add you as a 'child'.

Another thing may be that you do not meet the age requirements (age on your Microsoft account)

You would need to purchase a gold subscription.

"i get a message "you do not meet the requirements to play myplayer or play online" I have tried everything. what is it. Internet? the system? 2k? everything is right...its been over a month. Figure it out

Several people have tried the solution that worked for me and have stated that it didn't work for them, so I cannot guarantee that this will work for you; but with that said...

Go into your XBox system settings, storage devices, and go to NBA2K14. Scroll down through the files and look for any file with the word "Online" in the description. The file for me was around 169-170mb total. Once I deleted this I was able to get the game
to load up and do the roster updates for the online content and after about 3 minutes, the game loaded and I was able to get online.

Even though this thread is a couple of months old, this issue is still happening as of February 21, 2014, so I wanted to share the method that worked for me. You can also try clearing your storage device's 'system cache'.
