NBA 2k17 when I try to play Error 0x80073cfe comes up

There's unfortunately little to no documentation online (as well as any solutions) to this error code, but let's see what else we can do.

1. Have you tired doing a power cycle on your Xbox? This can clear up some instances of strange system behavior. (see here)
   
2. Try completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Perhaps something is corrupt.
   
3. Are you part of the "Preview Program"? Some people with this error were under the Preview Program. If so, you have signed up to effectively beta-test future firmware updates, and you would have installed the Preview firmware. Read more below if you are
   indeed in the preview program.

I have had the same exact problem, my guess is that Watch Dogs 2 uses a file that NBA 2k17 also uses and XCC detects it as NBA 2k17.

That was for a free to play weekend on NBA 2k17 and Rocket League. There are free play weekends every now and then for specific games.
