NBA 2k17 Created Players - cloud backups actually work?

Dear XBox Support,

wherever I read any information on file backups - it is written that backups of save files are made

automatically and there is absolutely no control that

the user has over the save files.

Recently my NBA 2k17 Created Players save file got corrupted (no doubt because of a faulty

sync system on 2K's part as there has not been any untypical behavior from my part as a user)

and 2K just gave me the typical "we understand how disheartening it can be..." etc.

So my question is - if supposedly the cloud backup actually works

in the XBox One - is there a way that, if I provide the proper information (date

of the lost file, details etc.), the file/files can be recovered?

2K as they may the ability to help from their end. Post back and let me know how it goes!

Hence:

- the cloud saves are useless for me,

- any copy of saves not on the local XBox can do more harm than good,

- the only application for the cloud saves is the ability to transfer them to another XBox.

I did contact 2K first but their support was rather insulting as they concluded the problem as solved by giving an answer on how to recover the MyCareer file

when I specifically told them that what is missing is the Created Players.

It seems the biggest flaw is that there is no working way of backing up save files so that this would never happen...

I have had the same exact problem, my guess is that Watch Dogs 2 uses a file that NBA 2k17 also uses and XCC detects it as NBA 2k17.

Hey guys -

In-game content for NBA 2k17 is added automatically. You should see your VC in the top right of your screen and to access the additional content such as jerseys, be sure you're creating your "My player" character.

it seems not to be possible like stated on the FAQ on the games website. This is the statement:

I have both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of NBA 2K17. Can I move my Virtual Currency between these versions? How about between Xbox 360 and Xbox One?

No. Players' Virtual Currency (VC) balances cannot be transferred between any version of NBA 2K17, including across console generations.
