Ok well in terms of router configuration, unless there's a new version of firmware available I'd say there's not much else you can do.

Are you saying even with a DMZ your NAT status changes? It sounds like two issues to me, one is NAT one is download speeds.

You can't change anything on the Xbox for either, its all on the router

oddity with my nat setting

Ok i was turning my xbox one on today and a few hours ago the nat was open on it , but now its strict. I have no clue why it says that though, but thats not the odd part.

The odd part is when i run a test on it , it says its good to go even with the nat saying its strict. im confused on how thats working, shouldnt it be saying what i should do to open my nat? anyone else having this issue?

I would do what Dream Thief said. Thats a very thorough answer.

You should also check to see if your NAT type is strict as that can cause all sorts of connectivity issues.

When I first got things going, my new X found the One, not vica versa. I do see that the NAT on the One is 'open, the NAT on the X is 'moderate'. Could this be the issue? If so, how do I change it, or can I?

Hey I'm having the same issue and it started today. My NAT has always been open. Now it's moderate and all the troubleshooting I tried did nothing. I'm also in the Preview Update that started yesterday for build 1703 if that's causing the problem
