    Same question here.

I love my Xbox and the "ipv6 support".

But the required tunneling over ipv4 via teredo is pathetic.

I am on a native ipv6 network. To use party chat I have to leave my ipv6 network and use a virtual ipv4 address, just to use teredo to join the ipv6 network again.

Microsoft; when is native ipv6 support planned for the Xbox one?

    Regards

    -Simon

  5. Hi Mister Beep,

it's only the question. I read about that if I have native IPv6 connection and I have no IPv4 connection then xbox will not work.

I want new Internet and it seems that if I sign a new contract for a new ISP package then I will get a public IPv6 Adress but no Public IPv4 adress. So I can't port forward or use UPnP.

With the native IPv6 Adress I could play. I read about that there are many Problems if you do not get an public IPv4 Adress so I have no new Internet at the moment.

If I can be sure that a public IPv6 Adress is all I need to connect and play with xbox (with open NAT) then I can sign the new papers Native IPv6 Support :)

    Hey there, Xx ROZILLA xX.

You shouldn't run into any NAT issues with IPv6, which would eliminate the need to enable UPnP or port forward. If you only use the Xbox One, than it's definitely a great option! One thing to note is that the Xbox 360 does not support IPv6, but it should
work if your public IPv6 network is internally handing out IPv4.

  7. Hi Mister Beep,

    what do you mean with:

"but it should work if your public IPv6 network is internally handing out IPv4."

If I have IPv6 my internal Network will not have IPv4? So it will not work if my xbox one gets an IPv6 IP Adress also internally?

Some routers hand out IP as IPv4 and IPv6 internally. Your Xbox One will work regardless if it's IPv4 or IPv6.

As I mentioned above, if happen you have an Xbox 360 console, that's when you will want a router that can support IPv4 internally.

I would check with your ISP to make sure you will get a connection that will support IPv4 internally and for any questions on how to set that up.

    @Xbox Support

    Please check this issue.

If I activate native IPv6 the most XBox online Features like Voicechat, Games, Store, Videos etc. are buggy
