    NAT Type: Unavailable


    Hello to all,

    using an Xbox series X and all was fine until today.

    Suddenly, while testing my network connection this morning I get a ping of 163 and a notice that "NAT Type: Unavailable" (previously it was open and no problems whatsoever).

    Tried the usual steps, hard reset, router update check, checking ports for Xbox live service, disconnecting and reconnecting everything etc, etc. all no avail.

    Something prevents me from getting an open NAT, but what?! I'm a member of the Alpha Skip Ahead program and a new update was released today, might there be a connection between this latest update and my problem?

    Thanks for any suggestions to solve this very annoying problem.

    My Xbox says I'm connected on connected devices on hot spot settings on phone but when I try to connect on the Xbox to go to live it says nat type unavailable n won't let me go online

    I understand that your xbox nat type says unavailable and will not let you go online

    I did and the problem still exist ,I don’t know if this problem caused by dynamic ip and should I have static ip from isp ,whatever I tried to get static up from isp and they told we can’t give you static ip !!
    No, the static IP from ISP depends on the provider (which many times offers it for a fee). Rather, you should try setting up a static IP on the console and using google DNS (eg 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).
