    NAT type problems

Hey! I've been doing everything I can to make my NAT type open. It is currently, and has always been moderate. I need to get it open. I've tried opening my ports/port fowarding/virtual servers. I also tried DMZ. I also have a static IP set for my xbox
one. I also got a new router that has gigabit ethernet, dual band, and has QoS. I also have UpnP on. I don't know why it is STILL MODERATE! I have tried everything. It's just not working! HELP! PLEASE!

    :)

You might have to set up port forwarding on your router for the NAT.

As he said he already tried to use DMZ so the port forwarding is not helping.

Please provide us with some more information about your setup as requeseted in the forum guide for networking problems here:

I had the same issue and it took a while finding the correct settings for port forwarding. Can you remotely access the NAT?

  7. I had a similar issue with uPnP not working correctly and only obtaining Moderate NAT.

The route round I used was to hard set firewall/port forwarding rules for each of the required ports and now I have Open NAT working fine.

    NAT type problems

These are the ports that I opened... I did virtual servers instead of port triggering.

    TCP: 80

    UDP: 88, 500, 3544, 4500

    TCP and UDP: 53, 3074, 3075, 3076 (Ghosts)

    Are these the right ports?

These are the right ports. Nevertheless I prefer using DMZ. NAT type problems ;)

Are you experiencing any problems with the moderate NAT or is everything working fine?

    But DMZ is not safe.

Nt really experiencing any problems. Sometimes me and my friends that have moderate can't connect. Some of my friends have strict. If I was open, they could join mine.

I have issues where my NAT randomly bounces around. Most of the time, it's open, but it'll randomly go to moderate or strict.

I can make it so then my NAT type for the system says open by testing multilayer connection and holding the triggers and bumpers and waiting for the detailed NAT type thingy to load. But I would have to do that everything time if I want to get it to open.
But I basically would want my cod ghosts to be open more than the system.

I'm not quite sure what your getting at with your last sentence... the NAT type isn't separate for the game itself, it just goes based on what your console is set at. If that's not what you meant, sorry.

If I was you, I'd call your internet service provider and see if they would be able to help you out with this. I know I could call mine if I had issues, so maybe look into that.

I do believe that games that run on the Xbox Cloud (Such as Titanfall) won't be affected by NAT, but I could be wrong. I do have Ghosts (But don't play it much), but I've never seen a game that has internal network info.

Your ISP might send someone to your house to fix your router, or they might just walk you through it over the phone. All depends on your ISP and how good their customer support is.
