NAT type open on console, STRICT on cod AW what can I do

Hi,

My NAT type is open in my settings, it wasn't difficult at all to change that. A simple turn off the router and back on again fixed it fine.

However, I go into codAW online and it is strict which is stupid as I've never experienced before especially with an open nat type on my console.

I've tried port forwarding (even 3075 and 3056 someone mentioned) and I always have my UnPn turned on. This is stupid and i'm contemplating to take it back for a ps4 as I can't even play Cod.

I'm in desperate need for help, got my console yesterday.

Does anyone have any advice or something else I could do?

Xbox setting says NAT typepen while COD AW says Nat type:strict ??

As the title, my xbox one says the nat type is open while in cod: aw says nat type is strict. Anything wrong about that?

 

Xbox One Moderate/Strict NAT Help.

So i usually have open nat through the xbox live but lately its been saying moderate it goes back to open when i do the click all 4 bumper things but when i play cod AW it is always strict or moderate. I tried opening ports nothing happens maybe its because
this is my first time doing it or its just not working. My Upnp also has the port 3076 open which i was told is needed to have open Nat in CODAW . Can i get any help on this its frustrating to see my nat strict on AW idk if its even actually strict because
i get in matches pretty quick but lately ive been randomly getting kicked out.

 

Mine shows same. This game is a turd for sure. A turd that needs some polishing.

Don't know if the port you listed was a typo but its port 3076 that needs forwarding not port 3056.

Also getting a ps4 wont help either as COD on playstation uses the same demonware port mapping that the xbox one version uses and you will likely have the same problems with that console.

Correctly forwarding port 3076 will fix this.

If you don't know how to do this list the make and model numbers of your modem and router and someone maybe able to give you instructions. Also it may be better to start your own thread so more people and potential helpers will see it.

 

Hi,I've had a similar problem; open NAT on console, moderate or strict in game. I'm a bit of a duffer when it comes to techno stuff so I looked on YuTube and there were several whiz-kids who'll show you how to manually reset your NAT settings. I followed
their instructions and Hey Presto! Open NAT on console and game. Unfortunately it hasn't made me a better player. Can't have everything can you?

 

@malacath thanks bro forwarding port 3076 worked!!!finally open nat

 

Having an open NAT doesnt necessarily help with in game "connections" nor LAG. Open NAT will help joining parties and finding some games, but overall connection issues will remain.
