    NAT type issues


    So about a week or so ago, I was playing a game of Fortnite: Battle Royale with a few friends and i randomly disconnected from the party, game, and the entire of Xbox Live in general. I went to my Network settings to see if anything was different, and my
    NAT type was randomly getting info. It should already have been set to open, as it has been since I first bought the Xbox One S. Over the past week, it has been randomly disconnecting me from everything with the same issue. I've tried to restart my router,
    hard reset my console, test the NAT type, everything i could've tried, I tried it. And i still have this issue today as it just happened 20 minutes ago.

    It kicks me off for about 5 minutes and then reconnects and the most times it has happened in a 4 - 6 hour play session is 6 times. My phone or laptop are always staying connected to the internet when this happens.

    I need help with this because i feel like my money has been wasted to play a console that I can't play online with.

    Hello!

    Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having trouble partying up with your friends in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 even though your NAT type is OPEN. Do you have issues with other games playing multiplayer
    with friends? If you don't I would recommend contacting the
    Call of Duty Black Ops IIII Community     and see if there is any more information or if this is a known issue. Let us know with a reply how it goes

    Hi Alonso! I'm Rostom, an Independent Advisor. I will be glad to help you here. Sorry to know about what happened. No worries, we will do our best now to get this sorted out.

    The NAT type is based on your network configuration especially with your router settings. Since you mentioned that you've already reset both your router and Xbox, the best option here is to try switching your network from wired to wireless or if possible, try using a different router. You could also try using your mobile data hotspot to isolate the issue.

    If nothing is working, you would need to configure your router manually using the port forwarding feature.
