NAT type is still shown as strict despite multiple attempted fixes.

Hey,

My little brother is having a problem with his Xbox One. As you may be able to tell by the title, his NAT type has been shown as "Strict." This seem to have happened very suddenly as for the past 4 years there have been no changes to our router aside from
a password change very long ago. After being unable to fix it on the device's side, I decided to set up the device as a DMZ host on our router so it would have access to everything. It was no good.

I'm running out of things to try and I'd like to know if anyone else has had the same problem.

My ISP is Verizon FiOS and the Xbox One uses a static internal IP and has no other network settings changed otherwise.

Need help setting up multiple xbox ones in hospital setting for pediatric patients. Due to sensitive of patient information I'm unable to change Nat strict type to Nat open type. Is there any other way to connect multiple Xbox ones in multiplayer games in
Nat strict type?

 

Dedicated servers? Then why the lag and connection advantages?

Things like crappy hardware and strict NAT types are a person's own problem. Server can't fix a shit connection.

You may have to switch to a wired connection. The strength of your wifi may not be strong enough to support an open NAT. Happened to me for 1 year. I went wired. Never had the issue again

Can You describe more precisely what network hardware You have and what settings is used on it? And before You start, contact Your ISP support and ask them if You get public routable IP address from them or You NAT-ted by them.
