Discus and support NAT Type Being Strict in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Having trouble with my NAT type being strict all the time on XBOX ONE. Both Wireless / Ethernet.     NAT Type Being Strict


    Having trouble with my NAT type being strict all the time on XBOX ONE. Both Wireless / Ethernet. I've done the port forwarding and doubled check they're the right ports by getting Microsoft to confirm.

    I've also checked with my ISP and they said everything is working and is OK

    Does anyone have problems with their NAT being strict often?

    Okay, it may be down to your NAT Type being strict or moderate. Have a look at the

    Nat Type Strict (Or Moderate)     to find out if you have a strict or moderate NAT Type, and how to resolve it.

    NAT Type Being Strict

    Have you tried unplugging your router?

    You could also try resetting your Xbox by holding the power button on front of the Xbox until it turns off then unplugging it for 5-10 mins

    Do you have your console in "instant on" mode ? My NAT kept going strict in "instant on" mode but it's been fine since I switched back to "energy saving" mode.

    do you have other xbox consoles in the house, if one of them are on first this can cause it. also which isp are you with and which router are you using, I had the strict nat problem all the time with bt, since moving to sky it has always been open.
