    NAT Type and Multiplayer Connection Issues


    I’m currently using an Xbox series S console with a mobile hotspot as my internet connection. I’ve been using this hotspot for nearly a month now(previously used a router), and this is the first time I’ve had a problem. I’m having a hard time connecting to Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege where in between rounds I wouldn’t load into the next one. My latency/ping is fine, and the game is updated to the latest version. My only thought was that my NAT Type was Moderate (which it was), but I noticed it kept switching between Moderate and Open. Each time I do a NAT Type test, it comes up as open. But my current network status states that it is moderate. Even when I test my multiplayer connection, it says “there are no multiplayer problems right now, but you can test your NAT Type.”

    Not receiving Party or game invites. Unable to find games on Dying light. But able to send invites and people can join me.

    Nat Type is open. Testing nat type says its open, Testing multiplayer connection shows no issues either

    Im having the same issue as of right now! We’re you able to find a fix? I called Xbox support and they made me go through all these steps l including calling my internet provider. At the end when they didn’t have any possible solutions they told me to pay 300$ for a repair!! Hoping you maybe found a solution!?

    Unfortunately, the only way to enable UPnP or do port forwarding is by the router/modem settings page. You do not have access to it?

    I clicked the link which took me to another Xbox support page. I scrolled through and found no information about “UPnP not successful”, but I found a way to turn on/off UPnP. The only problem is that the directions are for a router. Is there any way I would be able to get help with UPnP problems on a hotspot?
