Nat Type and Connection Issues

Hi,

So I own an xbox one and i've had it for about a year now and since i got it the internet connection has been working perfectly. But just recently, about 2 or 3 weeks ago, It all of a sudden stopped working. The xbox is fine and I can connect to xbox live
but i can't join any parties or play any multiplayer games. I know its because of strict NAT type and I've called my router provider to help open the ports but when I opened the ports, my internet connection on every device stopped working. No one in my house
could use the internet. I also checked the xbox to see if it worked but it didn't at all. Our devices could connect to the actual network but the loading screens never went away so the internet was inaccessible. The only solution was to close the ports so
the internet would work again.

I just really really need help. I have tried everything at this point and I don't know what else to do. I chatted with 4 different xbox workers and they all sent me to my router and modem providers who couldn't help me. I'm very confused because it used
to work just fine; no problems with connecting to parties or multiplayer games or anything. and now all of a sudden I have a strict NAT type and my xbox refuses to work. PLEASE HELP.

Hello Omar,

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you are having an issue with Teredo. Since you already tried the troubleshooting we would of offered. We recommend either reach out to your ISP or the router/gateway manufacturer. As the error comes from the
gateway/router not connecting properly.

Unfortunately with this type of connection, a moderate NAT will be common. It does not mean that you will not be able to play online, but you may not be able to connect to other users with a Strict NAT. For more information on NAT issues and how they affect

The NAT type is open but I don’t believe that is the issue as when I’m connected to the hotspot the NAT type is also open

Nat Type is open. Testing nat type says its open, Testing multiplayer connection shows no issues either
