Nat Strict

Contact your ISP, explain to them what is going on. Make sure they in fact opened the required ports for Xbox, as it took several calls to my ISP to discover this was not done. Have them change the settings of your router. Also, if you have not done this,
shut down the console by holding your finger over the Xbox Icon on the front for 10 seconds. Unplug all the cables from the console (I know this is inconvenient) but it helps. Wait about 2 minutes then plug everything back in and restart console. If this does
not work to open NAT you can always try the short cut. Run a connection test on the console, while the test is running hold down RB RT LB and LT at the same time for the duration of the test. This should open your NAT, it may take a couple of attempts so keep
trying. Keep in mind, once you shut your console off afterwards, your NAT will go back to strict. If there is nothing on your console (new console) you can always try resetting to factory defaults, there may have been an issue with the update. If you have
games already downloaded, you can still reset, your data is saved to the CLOUD so you will not lose your progress you will just have to re-download any games. Hope this helps.

 

I solved my strict DHCP problem. Don't call your ISP or reconfigure your router etc. Hard boot will fix it. First 2 times via the controller button did not but the console button being held down for roughly 5 seconds or so did.
