    NAT strict, can't get Teredo IP, but only on one of our XBOX One's ???


    Out of the blue, one of our XBOX One's decided to change it's NAT to strict, our other has been OPEN and has no issues. They are obviously both connected to the same wireless router (I even tried wired), I have Comcast as a provider, Netgear Nighthawk
    R7000 router, UPnP turned on, etc. I haven't done anything with port forwarding because frankly, I don't believe I should have to. Why would one XBOne work fine and the other not unless there is potentially something wrong with it's hardware?

    Yes, NAT type shows strict and testing the multiplayer connection yields this error: 'Can't get a Teredo IP address'

    Strict Nat Issues

    So I plugged my modems Ethernet cable directly into the xbox one, I still got the strict nat. I could watch videos and load websites but the network test said cannot get teredo ip.

    Connection test works. It's connected fine. Then I go to multiplayer test and get an error "Can't get Teredo IP address"

    Details as to my config.

    Cable goes to Arris modem.

    Arris modem is set to bridge mode.

    Arris modem connected via ethernet to Apple airport extreme, which acts as wifi router for my house.

    airport extreme ALSO has an ethernet cable connected directly to the xbox one.

    But I'm still getting strict nat.

    Plus the "can't get teredo IP" error.

    Thanks for your feedback and the additional information.

    Are you getting an error like "cannot get Teredo ip" sometimes in the multiplayer test? Would you mind asking your provider if you are on a native IPv6 connection and if they maybe block the teredo tunneling protocol?

    Because if you setup the one being in the DMZ and still get a strict NAT it maybe a problem with the teredo protocol.

    As the 360 is not using the teredo tunneling protocol you do not experience any problems there and get an open NAT on it. Might be another indicator that this could be the problem.

    Unable to Connect to Multiplayer

    I have the same problem unfortunately, my NAT is strict and I cannot join or host a multiplayer game (have only FIFA 14 atm). I can search for games, but the connection is interrupted when I have found an opponent.

    All ports are open, I tried the "Exposed Host" option as well (I have a Fritzbox 7390), but to no avail. Nat continues to be strict. When I do the multiplayer test in the Xbox ONE, I get the error message "Can't get a teredo IP-address", even though I have
    opened all ports, tried the "Exposed Host" option etc.
