Discus and support NAT setup for two xboxes in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Alright, i have an Xbox One and a Xbox Series X. I have a modem and a router.     NAT setup for two xboxes


    Alright, i have an Xbox One and a Xbox Series X. I have a modem and a router. My router is a linksys EA9500 and my modem is netgear. My ISP is Xfinity. I’ve tried the following to both consoles:

    - Port forwarding/triggering

    - Restart modem/router

    - Reset everything back to default

    - Static IPs and manual alternate ports on Xbox

    - DMZ

    - Wired Connection

    - 2.4 Ghz Wireless

    - 5 Ghz Wireless

    - Restarted each console each time I made a change

    - Cleared wired/wireless mac addresses

    - Cleared persistant storage

    - Changed power modes to energy saving

    - Power the console off completely using hard press method

    - Turned off devices not using the internet

    - Netgear extender to increase range of wifi due to random disconnects on series x

    - Changed channels on router

    - Tried other games and lag is unbearable as connection interruptions and party disconnects and games freezing excluding cold war

    - NAT changes from moderate to strict at random times or getting info disconnecting everything for both consoles

    - Setup one console at a time

    - UPnp is enabled and was diabled when port forwarding was up

    - Talked to netgear and MS not helpful at all

    - Linksys has yet to help due to covid

    I’ve read every single article, post, feed, forum, you name it and its mixed and all over the place. I need someone who knows what they are doing and experienced this type of problem. Trust me I have done absolutely everything except getting a second external
    IP. Please help me.

    Cannot join specific friend in games or parties

    But what exactly is wrong with the NAT that makes it act this way?

    Also, more info - I cannot join him or his brother from either of their two xboxes. So I guess it's something to do with his setup?

    Lols - I just read over Taidara's original post. So a bridge mode is needed if you have two routers in play (two Natd decives). My setup is purely modem and router , this means one Nat - correct??? Thus - I shouldn't be thinking about bridging.

    Still , I can't understand what could be giving me moderate Nats when I've setup Static IP - tried Port Forwarding and using the DMZ. Remember I'm getting the message "behind a port restricted cone Nat".

    HELP PLEASE...!!! double nat issues

    Hardwired the Xbox directly to the ATT "gateway" and it still shows strict NAT. I got the ports forwarded through my Orbi's setup and my xbox shows "Open nat" until i perform a nat test and it goes straight back to strict/double NAT. I have tried to go
    through the ATT's gaming/nat setup and forwarded the same ports as well with the same result. After resetting the Xbox it goes to open but if i perform any tests especially nat test... right back to strict/double. This happens both wireless and wired to
    either the Orbi, or the ATT paperweight =-(

    To clarify a little on the gateway side as well... As far as i can tell its is bridged but then this ATT has so many settings inside of it who knows. I have shut down the ATT box's wifi bands totally and did the " IP Passthrough" in order to use my Orbi
    system as the primary routing setup for the house.
    Could you connect your PC/Mac directly to your AT&T and find out what IP your client get assigned.

    On a Windows machine: Bring up the command prompt (cmd) and type "ipconfig" (without quotes).

    On a Mac: Bring up terminal window and type "ifconfig" (...).

    Post up the first two octets of your IPv4 address. For example, 192.168.xxx.xxx. Remember, only the first two octets.

    Two Xbox Ones setup

    like you mentioned... make the Xbox you normally would not play on (kids room) the "Home" console... this will give your kids access to anything you purchase under your screen name. Just be careful that you password protect your CC details etc as you
    dont want them just "buying" stuff by accident
