NAT randomly disappears

Hey there,

The last couple of weeks I have had been disconnected while in the middle of an online game on Destiny, I tried to see if it happened on Overwatch. No surprises it did also disconnect me.

I tried to catch it happening and try to have a look at my network results on the Xbox and I noticed that where it is supposed to say NAT Type: OPEN it disappears, while still saying the console is connected.

I tried the following:

Restart the console

Reset the console (Keeping the Games etc saved)

Reset the console including the games etc

I have reset the Modem 2x now

I have also power cycled the Router and Xbox Including disconnecting it from the Power source for 2 mins

I have uninstalled the games individually and re-installed them (before attempting factory reset)

I also tried booting up the console through the Safe Mode

I have also tried wired connection

I tried manually doing port selection etc

Nothing else in the house seems to be having issue with connecting. The only problem I notice is that I will run a Network test and the results will be fine, however when I witness a disconnection the NAT disappears from the network tests on the Xbox for a bit.

TLR I tried (I’m pretty sure) every possible troubleshooting step and I don’t know what to do now.

Hello there,

I’m still having issues with connecting. We checked the Network Settings on the IP login and found out that the XBOX randomly disconnects itself from the internet

I have tried the following steps above, including cable however still yet to test it on another network however I feel it’s the console itself.

If any more suggestions are available while I wait to test my console out on another network it would be much appreciated

Hi Mara, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Seems like you have indeed performed all the necessary steps, you may need to try a different network connection to test if the same issue will occur but if not, you may need to reach out to your Internet Service Provider so they can check this further.

Yes all my saves on the Map wereon Cloud and now just randomly disappeared.
