nat problem with 2 consoles on the same network

my set up is a virgin hub 3 , with xboxone 1 wired through ethernet and xboxone 2 connected through wireless.

I have alternate port chosen on xboxone 2 on the xbox network advanced settings.

my problem is that despite both consoles having an open nat on the xbox dashboard , in game (blops4) one will always be nat open and the other nat moderate. also neither console can play in the same server/game as the other.

we got 2 consoles and 2 game copies so we could play in the same party on the same game. if we cant do this then the extra console and game are redundant ad just been a waste of money.

so ive tried port forwarding the relevant ports to 1 console , ive tried dmz , ive tried upnp , nothing seems to work.

is the issue solvable ? if so how ?

would turning the hub3 into modem mode and buying another router help ?

is multiple consoles in one household just not supported by xbox, isps or the the game developers ? which is to blame and who do I sen my complaint too ?

    :)

You should consider buying a good router and use the hub 3 as a modem only. Most gateways are not that great at handling the more complex networks. If you do decide to go that route make sure that ALL routing features of the hub 3 are disabled.

    Thanks for all the advice.

the issue was with the virgin media hub3.

in the end i turned on modem mode in the hub3 and bought a netgear nighthawk xr500 router.

i set the nat settings on the router to open and all now works fine.

Your might gonna have to contac your internet provider and tell them that you want your own port that will fix your nat problem

    Hi Uknightbreed,

Thanks for reaching out! We understand this can be frustrating since it is having trouble with the NAT type. We
want to help as best as we can. I would suggest creating a static IP for
both consoles. Once you do that, try out the
    port forward as
well to try creating a better connection.

If not, try to use a direct cable for the console that keeps going moderate.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

    I hope this helps.

Your issue would be the VirginHub is not really capable of having 2 consoles connected. I have 5 xbox consoles connected at home and have my HUB in modem only mode and connected to a gaming router
