NAT Problem Persists with **** TG862G and Apple Time Machine

My NAT is moderate, and it says it is port-restricted. I went through the "I can't hear my friends online, or I can't join or host a multiplayer game on Xbox One" guide on Xbox Support. I learned that my router and modem cannot handle two consoles, so I
disconnected my Xbox 360 from the internet. I've also tried port forwarding through Airport Utility and the modem configuration as a last-ditch effort, but I wouldn't be posting this if that worked, now would I? Airport Utility gave no luck, and the modem
just said it was invalid if I tried to create a virtual server.

I do know that my setup cannot run consistently without NAT issues as stated, but is there anyway to fix it, temporarily at least? It's worked multiple times in the past, but it's messed up now. Any feedback is appreciated.

Ok so I have the Ubee and I sometimes use the Apple Time Machine when its wireless same problem happens to both,

The short answer is you cant.

you are using Apple tech over a ropey hotspot connection you'll blitz data in seconds due to packet counts and it'll cost you an absolute bomb

 

the first clue was the fact you can't hear your friends.

if you have SIP ALG enabled in your router's settings, disable it. it might help.

May I ask, do you have your Arris TG862G operating in bridge mode?

You can't use multiple layers of NAT on your local network, since this creates separate NAT bindings, between a local source port and the externally bound port. Therefore, the Arris TG862G need to be operating in bridge mode, as long as you use an additional
NAT device on your local network.

Tridara, I've checked both router and modem, and the router uses DCHP and NAT, and the modem uses RoutedWithNAT.

 

Well, actually your Arris TG862G is also a router/NAT built-in. So the device I'm referring to is the Arris device. This is the one that only needs to function as a standard modem (without NAT implemenation).

My recommendation is for you to get in Contact with your ISP and have them know that you use an additional router/NAT, and that you need your gateway function as a standard modem. In other words, it has to be configured and operating in bridge mode.

Multiple layers of NAT often works seamlessly with the TCP protocol, where UDP will face multiple issues, due to the fact that UDP are connectionless protocol. When you use your console, the most used transmission model of them two is UDP.

 

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you didn't want it operating in bridge mode. I can turn it off on the web configuration place. Should I still try to contact my ISP?
