how do I change nat settings on my modem or router or gateway

Without more info it will be tough to help.

Who is your Internet Provider?

Did you install your own Router?

If not what is the brand of Modem/Bridge/Router your currently have?

Try this:

Use your PC/MAC

open a web bowser

in the address bar, type in one of these addresses

192.168.1.1

192.168.200.1

192.168.100.1

192.168.2.1

One of these should come up with a login screen

If you can connect to this, each router has its own default login.

Do a quick web search on the name and model number of your Router and get the default user and pass.

Once in the Router make sure UPnP is on.

NAT = Network Access Translation

it changes an internet accessible IP address to an internal IP address, so the baddies cannot access your internal network. It is like having your house on your main street, but the house you live in is behind it, only accessible from a locked tunnel from
the first house.

look under the wan settings if you are wanting to open ports (Port forwarding).

That depends on what is causing the NAT error. There are a number of things that cause NAT issues. Describe exactly what is happening on your network and the configuration.

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is an issue with a NAT type on the modem/gateway.

I recommend to
create a static IP for the console,
and port forwarding on the network
configuration settings for a better connection.

hey - your Problem is: You are double Natted:

Your Modem is not a Modem it is a Gateway with it own Nat (I googled it). I´m not sure if it´s possible to bridge this Gateway - you have to ask your ISP. So it will work as a modem only without NAT.

If this is not possible maybe you can chane this gateway to a "normal" DOCSIS 3 Modem?
