NAT issues due to shared Network, can it be fixed?

I am having issues with at Strict NAT, which i am unable to open.

I live in a building which shares a 100/100 fiber connection through a Server in the basement, We only have one Public IP, which get diveded through Private IP's to each apartment, also we have Load balancing on the system.

I have tried to Port forwarding, DMZ and UPnP on my own Router, nothing seems to work, im always on Strict NAT, but it still says all services available?

It is really anoying, as it makes Destiny completely unplayable -.-

Weird issue with mic

Sounds like NAT or network issues. Sometimes when two people have a certain network config you can play and chat with other people just fine, but not someone else with your same issue.

My wife and I used to have a similar issue with chat in OG Destiny. Check your NAT and make sure it is open not moderate or strict.

In my opinion, there are far too many NAT issues with the X1 for it to just be people's home networks.

 

If you have your own router you will be behind a double NAT. It is impossible to open NAT with a double NAT.

Can each apartment have more than one IP assigned?

If so then you would be better off using an Ethernet switch or wireless access point that doesn't have it's own NAT.

 

I have tried setting the Xbox directly in the wall plug, so it will not be affected by my own Router, but even with this soloution, i'm still stuck with Strict NAT.

(we can only have one Private IP per apartment)

 

Unfortunately apart from speaking to whoever is in charge of the network and asking if they could forward the required ports for xbox live and destiny(port 3074 and 1200) to your apartment I don't think there is anything else you could do except maybe getting
your own internet connection installed if your apartment complex allows that.
