Nat is set to open but i cant join peoples party or game

Hey i live in hong kong (parents choice) and when i get online to play black ops 2, my xbox 360 tells me im online, then i go try and join a friends party or game and it gives me the error "unable to join game session". this is not only for one friend but
for all friends and despit all that my nat is also open so it shouldnt be a problem. then i go to the dashboard and test my wired xbox live connection and get an error between network and internet, but why is this if i was just online???, i have already tried
portforwarding and if just doesnt let anything connect to the internet. i am also getting disconnected from xbox live frequently for no reason, please help thankyou

Hey thanks for reviewing this aha didn't think anyone would, well I was chatting to Xbox the other day and because I connect directly to my router they said to try directly connect to my modem so I did and it was fine for a few days but now I have the same
problem, my modem is a netvigator, and my router is a linksys EA6700

Is Your modem has model number?

What settings You use on Your router? Manual port forwarding or UPnP or both?

 

Hey it Maxxyy, your issue is caused by your online status. Currently you're showing as only having a Silver Live membership. In order to play with other people online or join their parties you must have a Gold membership.

Once you purchase a Gold membership and apply it to your account you'll find that you'll be able to join the games and parties.

 

Hey, I'm I don't think this can be possible as I bought a one year gold membership not too long ago, and I am able to join people every now and then, If I had silver membership I would completely not be able to join parties or games, and btw i accidently
set my region to another country that does not allow Xbox live but this should be the problem as I can still sometimes join people

 

That could be the problem then.

However, if you take a look at your gamercard on this page compared to mine you'll see that your gamertag is in Silver while mine shows as Gold. The names show what status you are and currently you are showing as Silver.

You should contact phone support for further assistance with this. If you live in North America dial 1-800-469-9269. If you do not then post which country you are in and we'll get you a number.
