NAT is Open on XB1 but on games it says Strict.

Alright so I know how to portforward, I had to do this in order to join parties and such. I've opened all ports listen on xbox's network support page and my router can only open 1 or 2 more ports before it reaches it's limit so I can't open a specific port
that a game lists for in open NAT. I have 2 examples of games that read Strict NAT but one doesnt really hinder my multiplayer experience and the other makes me alone every time i attempt to play. My NAT is Strict on these games no matter the amount of devices
that are online at a time but still says Open on the xbox.

When I play Destiny each time I log into the game world a notification pops up saying I am playing on a Strict NAT type but I still see others in-game an get matched fairly quickly with others in activities. I think the only time this hinders my experience
is when playing patrol and always being in these areas alone. The other game I simply cannot play online because I get thrown into sessions by myself all the time is GTA 5. Sometimes it times out looking for sessions but mostly I get thrown into games by myself.
Rockstar support was of no help as they tell me everything I already know and tried. Like opening ports. I'd just like a solution to why my NAT reads Open in the settings menu on my XB1 but on other games apparently my NAT is indeed, not Open.Hopefully I can
find some help here.

Other information - My ISP is Comcast/Xfinity

Router is the only hardware I have. I am on a wireless connection, I do not have an ethernet cable to be wired so thats out of the question. Back on 360 this wasn't a problem and even before on XB1 I was having no problems playing on an Open NAT. I was playing
GTA on XB1 with no problems in the past.

Router model is Technicolor TC8305C

uPnP is enabled

Zero config is enabled

Xbox One is set with a static IP

Ports listed on support page are open.

Can change Nat type from mod to open

i have the same problem but im with virgin media my nat type on xb1 is strict yet when i got on ghosts on xboxone it says open my 360 is also open

 

Please tell me it's not just me who can't get my NAT to open after trying EVERYTHING.

My NAT type is set to open on the one. I know randomly while playing the 360 and certain games it will tell me my NAT is strict. I have no clue why it used to bounce from strict to open. I always thought it was the servers from a specific game. I have
no clue on how to troubleshoot my router (gateway) if my NAT was ever set to strict on XB1

 

You say UPNP is enabled but you also port forwarded ....cant do both.... Technicolor TC8305C is a Gateway and they are not gaming friendly imo , especially that model.....if that router came from your isp they may have their own firmware on there , if they
updated it , that may be why it worked in the past and not now....you could try a factory reset of the gateway but I would get a proper gaming router ...

 

Bump if anyone knows something, looks like comcast likes to give out trash routers/gateways.

Destiny is very picky when it comes to network, it's ridiculous and the gateway having issues found here forums.xbox.com/.../1444840.aspx are not really helping with that.

Since port forwarding did nothing I suggest removing the settings you have already set for that (for your Xbox One) and adding your Xbox One in the DMZ settings for your gateway instead.

It would still be highly suggested to request a different gateway from your ISP as this one has known issues with Xbox live as seen above

 

DO NOT get another "Gateway" from your isp , give that one back ( your probably paying for it each month) take the money that you will save and buy your own modem and separate router (imo , netgear is the most xbox friendly)
