NAT Error Moderate Setting Need help fixing it

Ok i just moved & when i got my xbox setup i had a million issues with the internet & now that my internet is finally working correctly my xbox live has decided to bug out. Somebody REALLY does not want me to watch TV. I have read several other post about
the NAT issue. I am getting kicked off every couple of mins & it is driving me nuts to put it nicely. I ran a network connection test & it gives me a nat error & says it is at a moderate setting. I am using a Zhone model 6519-A2-NA-oCC router. I have logged
into my router & found the NAT settings tab but i'll be honest i might as well be trying to read ancient sumarian. I have no idea what am doing from this point on so i need some help.

    :)

Your network is behind port restricted NAT

Does your NAT actually say STRICT or MODERATE when you run network test or are you going by the advanced test where it'll say open but also give an error code for port restricted NAT. If its the later, you'll get that error code when you hook to a router because the router is handling your NAT and x1 sees it as a filter, even though its not really filtering your necessary ports for Xbox live. If its the former, yea, you need to see Xbox forums as xstasis recommends.

NAT Error Moderate Setting Need help fixing it

    Greetings Valarie!

Did you connect your console to the Zhone (6519-A2-xx) before you moved, or is this a new device, deployed by your ISP (Internet Service Provider)?

    Who is your ISP?

Could we start with something as simple as determine if your public/WAN address is an address that can reach the Internet from your WAN interface, or if its actually a private address NAT'd within the private realm of your ISP.

Just to rule out the possibility, if your connection are behind a Large Scale NAT (LSN) architecture, could you access the web-uitlity interface of your Zhone gateway and see if you can find the WAN/Internet IP address, which is the address assigned by your
    ISP.

Take a note of the WAN/Internet IP address and go to
    http://checkip.dyndns.com/

Now, if this 'Current Address' don't match the WAN/Internet IP address that you see on your Zhone, then you're in a topologie that involves multiple levels of NAT. Multiple levels of NAT, or double NAT, don't support UDP (User Datagram Protocol) over NAT traversal.

Post back and let us know how that goes and we'll work from there.

    Thank you!

The service was transferred but i did have to replace my router so now i don't know. I did not have the issue prior to moving & getting the new router.

the service provider is Consolidated Communications.

How do i determine the things you have listed...not sure where to look.

I couldn't find a manual for this specific model, but you should be able to locate it under
    Device Info and WAN.

Now, type this address down and go to Current IP Check

Don't post up your IP address, just confirm if these two addresses are the same.

If you haven't already, make sure you have UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) enabled on your router. If unticked, tick enable and Save/Apply and reboot router.

Could you also restore your Xbox network settings to factory defaults.

Go to Xbox Network Settings and Configure Network. Select the
Additional Settings tab and Restore to factory defaults. Afterwards, press "B" on your controller and select
    Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

    Thank you!

NAT Error Moderate Setting Need help fixing it

Xbox live worked without the nat error or throwing me off for about an hour now we are back at square one. it kicked me off & after restarting the router & testing the connection i get the NAT error moderate setting again. This is getting extremely ridiculous.
I am not going to restore my factory setting every hour or so in order to watch netflix, xbox video, hulu or play games.

When i went into my routers settings earlier using your instructions the UPnP WAS checked & all i did then was restore default settings.

Also to add to my post i have noticed that almost every time i get kicked off of xbox live a popup appears on my computer that says "Windows needs to install driver software for xbox360. I click locate & install driver...it says its installing then will
pop up & ask me to insert the disc that came with my xbox360. I do not have a disc it never had one, so i clicked the choice "i don't have the disc show me other options" & then it says windows couldn't find driver software for your for your device. So i
tried choosing find a solution & pop up says Windows was unable to install your xbox360. I have no idea what this is or if it is just coincidental that it has popped up almost every time i've been kicked off

Do you connect your Xbox to your Windows computer, to share its Internet connection (ICS)?

Have you set up Windows Media Center on your console?

    1. Go to My Settings, and then select System.
    2. Select Computers.
    3. Select Windows Media Center.
    4. Select Disconnect.

I also ran a network connection test & it gave me a nat error & said it is at a moderate setting. I would also get disconnected from Netflix often. You may have already tried the suggestions on this page, but this is what helped me eventually solve my problem:

It took me a good 3 hours of work and reading but I eventually got it to run perfectly.

NAT Error Moderate Setting Need help fixing it

Do you connect your Xbox to your Windows computer, to share your computer's Internet connection, (ISC, or bridge connection) or do you connect your Xbox directly to your router?

    Do you have an
    Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver
    plugged in to your computer?

Let's try place your Xbox in the DMZ of your router, instead of using UPnP.

Go to Xbox network settings and select Configure Network. Type down the following values:

    IP address

    Subnet Mask

    Default Gateway

Select DNS Settings and type down the address for Primary DNS and
    Secondary DNS.

Now, on the Basic Settings tab, select IP Settings. Select Manual, and then select
IP Address. Enter the IP address that you've typed down, but end the last octet with 120. For example, 192.168.1.120

Continue to fill in the values for Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS settings, to match as you've previous typed them down.

Save manual settings and turn off your console.

Access your router and turn off UPnP. Click Save/Apply button.

Locate DMZ on your router and select DMZ host from the next sub-menu. Enter the IP address that you've manually assign your Xbox in the DMZ host IP address field. Click Save/Apply button.

    Reboot your gateway.

Turn on the Xbox and go to Xbox network settings. Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection and make sure you have a solid connection to LIVE.

Post back and let us know how that goes.
