Narrator Won't Turn Off

Hey guys, I have a HUGE problem. For some reason I accidentally turned on narrator and now it won't turn off! I tried everything I can but it won't turn off no matter what! HELP! Please tell me how I can fix this
annoying problem! Try to help as fast as possible. Thanks!

I should clarify more - it was a digital copy not a disc.

Hi

If it is not the console narrator you are hearing then you will need to look in the DVD/Blu Ray menus for a section that may be listed something like languages or audio/subtitles and you should find be able to select a non audio descriptive sound option
there.

Hold the home button until you are prompt are you sure you want to shut down at the bottom right then press the Menu button. I'm currently running the latest preview build and as i am aware the setting for narrator has been removed so it isn't permanent
as i see.

If the option to disable Narrator isn't there for you can you hard reset the console.

1, Hold the power button on the console

2, unplug the console from receiving power and HDMI signals

3, wait up too 5-6 minutes with out interruption

4, reconnect the console boot it up hold the home button and hopefully the option is there now.

if the button to turn off narrator is disabled in the game, it could be your Xbox Narrator itself been turned on somehow? Just hold in the Xbox Home button until the turnoff power menu appears, then in the bottom right you will see Narrator... push options
and turn it off if it is on and that should fix it.

I seemed to have fixed it. When the console updated, it glitched out and turned the narrator on, but the glitch cause the narration to not work. All I did was turn the narrator off and now all is good.

Hi Aaron,

To turn off narrator hold the xbox button and go to narrator, it then should ask you Do you want to turn it off, select yes. If its still on after you turn it off, a quick restart should fix this.

You can also adjust the narrator settings in Settings - Ease of access - Narrator then switch off.
