Name reported as offensive but it's not.

So I was playing Destiny on Xbox One and was winning in Trials of Osiris. The next day I get an email from microsoft telling me my name was offensive and they changed it. My name is pHightsHifter. Where is there anything in my name that breaks the code of
conduct? I demand that I get my name back or I get credit to change it to a desired name. I am now lonely colt and some numbers. I am very confused as I have had this name for years and never had anyone tell.me it was wrong. But because a sore loser reports
me xbox immediately takes action? And for no valid reason?

Very true, however its the principle now since the name wasn't offensive. I've seen offensive names and mines wasn't one. people reported me cause they was getting whooped in Ghost Recon

 

Gamertag changed for no apparent reason

My gamertag was changed for no apparent reason but supposedly it was reported. It has no bad meaning or words in it and after talking to support they agreed and told me to post on here, hoping to get a free name change so that I do not have to choose a
generic name, in which some are offensive as well. It's 2017, everyone finds everything offensive and I want to get this fixed because I got completely ripped off by the Xbox Enforcement Team who has nic regards for me.

 

I would recommend heading over to
enforcement.xbox.com/.../ShowEnforcements . You see should an action for a Gamer tag name change and you should be able to open a Case Review for the Enforcement Team to review this action again. If the decision is overturned they should be able to help

Thank you for the quick response. I tried to call xbox first and the rep i talked to said he didn't see why my name was offesive but couldn't help me at all. this page you sent me to has no case listed yet. Does it take some time to "file" sometimes?

 

The name itself may not offensive but there is an offensive word in it.You probably would of been ok if there was a space between pHights & the other word.

That would be my guess anyway

Daft if there is no case review button under the status then maybe he needs to contact an official support member via chat.

 

Chat and phone support do not handle enforcement issues. They would only send him back to the forums.

 

If you look it up in the Urban dictionary, the name could have offensive meanings. You do have to seperate it to have it become offensive though. Not sure if that is the reasoning behind the FNC or not.
