    Name Changing Error


    So, when I first started using Xbox Live, I made my username "LVXI". As I was doing this, I realized there were numbers at the end of the name [So it's LVXI4137], which I wasn't too fond of, due to the fact that there could be possible future mix ups with profiles, so I wanted to change it to my current display name: ResoluteXXV.

    When I tried using the free name change every new account gets, it had no visible effect on my username, so now it remains LVXI4137. I am curious if there's a solution to changing it without having to pay for it, as it would help me a lot.

    if you chose your name while setting up the account then you don't get a free change, you only get that free change if you created an account and it gave you a random name. you would need to pay to change names.

    Hi Peckerwood,

    There does seem to be something unique happening on your account.

    I would suggest giving
    Phone Support     a ring, and having them take a look into your account.

    Let us know what they find, or if you have anymore questions.

    I got it working, turned out it wouldn't work on anything other than IE... Lol, they couldn't tell me what 8C020007 was either. Anyways thanks
