    i woke up this morning to my name being changed from OW MY McNUGGETS to flayjoey bull crap so im asking why was OW MY McNUGGETS removed seeing as its not a innapropriate name and why now that xbox has changed my name to whatever they feel like i have to
    pay $10 to switch it back to something i would choose so just wanting some answers on this crap before i switch to playstation

    Name was changed

    Based on what your GT was I wouldn't expect them to change their standing on this.

    They didn't charge you for the forced GT change. If you want something different then you'll have to pay. Just don't choose something that violates the info below.

    Forced Gamertag Changes
    When a forced Gamertag change is imposed, the system automatically assigns a new Gamertag to the affected account, much in the same way a system-generated Gamertag is provided when you first sign up for Xbox Live.

    If a player is unhappy with the assigned Gamertag and wishes to change it, he or she may purchase a new Gamertag through the standard Gamertag change process. However, the Gamertag that received the forced change will remain unobtainable.

    A forced Gamertag change may be issued if a Gamertag visually resembles, sound likes, represents, hints at, abbreviates, or otherwise insinuates any of the following:

    • Profane words or phrases
    • Topics or content of a sexual nature
    • Hate speech
    • Controversial religious topics
    • Notorious people or organizations
    • Sensitive current or historical events

    The reason it was changed is because there was complaints against the gamer tag name for being offensive and if action was taken by the XBLPET it means it violated the Code of Conduct specifically:

    Code of Conduct

    If you don't have an action on your Enforcement History page, then you would need to go to the Suspension forums as this is going to be your only other way
    to communicate with the XBLPET that took the action against the account.
