    Hi all, hopefully someone can help me out, today I received a message from Xbox that stated all Xbox live gold members could now download the dirt3 game for free, since the XboxOne now supports this Xbox 360 tittle in backward compatibility I went online
    to down load it

    I followed the instructions and to my surprise my gamer tag was changed to deeperbus04 from spoonycargo5680, now keep in mind I have NO idea wher these gamer tags came from and I'm praying no one has hacked my account, I've had it for ten years and would
    hate to have to start from scratch, but I called Xbox support and the best he could tell me was to post this here at the forum and he will follow up with me to see if my problem could be resolved here.

    Unfortunately they randomly generated a name for you , you can try to change it or call support directly to see if they can change or reset to guest but you might lose your progress

    I try to play bingo as a guest and the app says TestierCosine37 is playing! That is NOT my name! I never signed up for that name! I don't want that name! How do I give that name back to MS?

    Hi there,

    just to be sure, you are 100% sure you are using the correct email address to login at xbox.com and on the console?

    Side note: Backwards compatibilty on the Xbox One is not released yet, it should become available at the 12th of November for a selection of games

    Forgot to mention sometimes if you make spaces it may look different But Then system treats it Then same without spaces just replace some characters

    You can call them and ask them to change the name But your reason must be good and must also be legit..
