Xbox Live is a community open to everyone, please consider other people may be offended or find that content shocking no matter their age.

Content that is controversial. For example:

• Sexual, provocative, pornographic, or adult content
• Violent content
• Controversial religious content
• Anything involving notorious people or organizations
• Anything involving sensitive events, current or historical

What is considered content in Xbox Live?

Content is anything you create, share, use, or promote that another person could see or hear or otherwise experience, likeGamertags, profile information, in-game content,
and videos.

You can but a lot of the time the games devs will just change your in game name if it's offensive.Some devs will ban you from the game,especially if you keep creating offensive names.

It all depends on the game.

Certain games allow you to change your name inside the game (Destiny 2 for example), so players would essentially have 2 names associated with their profile.

An age filter would definitely solve such problems, and speaking about parents, they could have total control over what their kids could get access to on their Xbox by making them a CHILD ACCOUNT. It's not that hard, but parents these days do not care
about their children and then blame other adults...
