Name Availability

So i checked a gamertag on another account i have it said it was available, when i went to this one to change the name to it, i got a message saying it wasn't available so i went back onto the account to check again five minutes later and it still says it
is available but it just wont let me take it

Trying to change Gamertag but nothing is happening

So I'm trying to change my gamertag and when I check the availability it says it's available however when I press the Claim It button it does nothing. It's acting like it's check the availability of the name when I press it.

I went to change my gamertag and when i put in the name and clicked check availability and it was available so i changed my gamertag but it didn't change my gamertag. When I try to change it to my desired name that I wanted it says its taken, any help?

 

Hey there Holly!

We have a
guide on Gamertags that you can take a look at that has some information on changing/obtaining Gamertags. If you are unable to obtain a specific GT, it sounds as if the name is either taken or is a variation of one currently in use since spaces/capitalizations
don't count as unique. To use the GT you are posting from as an example, I could not change my GT to 'hollyhenry' since your currently own Holly Henry.
