Name and Game Issues

Hi guys,

My friend's having a problem with his Xbox, which is every time he enters a game, he doesn't find his Xbox gamertag name in the game character name, but finds a weird name in each game he enters, not as the name of his Xbox gamertag name.

I need a solution for this issue ASAP.

Hi Ali!

It's possible that your friend is using a different account. When was the last time he was able to access his account normally?

I advise your friend to sign in his account online through https://account.microsoft.com then visit his Xbox profile on https://account.xbox.com/Profile to check if it's showing his correct gamertag and if it's showing his game achievements.

If he didn't see his game achievements there, most likely he's using an incorrect account. Try checking his other email addresses or accounts.

@ Skadk666, that doesn't always work, Plus it's a long process for the support team to force a name change. As for the OP, just file a complaint on the GT.
