Unfortunately, since the
wall Strret Journal
published a story that
a group of Microsoft's shareholders
want Nadella decrees
the end of Xbox Division,
for defending the thesis that Xbox Division only brings
harm to Microsoft,
all Brazil's
games forums are
infested daily by speculations
if Nadella will do what
these shareholders are
requesting.

This is very bad for
the image of the Xbox
One and Microsoft in Brazil
and in the world and he's bringing
a lot of instability for
the Xbox brand
consumers. The
Xbox brand in
Brazil is the
most respected Microsoft
brand among consumers.
If the application of these
shareholders meet Nadella, Microsoft
will lose a lot of credibility
in the world.

The whole problem is
that Nadella is in
silence and not expresses about
the Xbox Division.
This silence is
something terrible.

It is not possible that Microsoft, in fact the Satya Nadella, will put this Stephen Elop as President of Xbox Division.

This Stephen Elop these days ago was conspiring against the Xbox brand along with other shareholders mercenaries to convince Microsoft to sell or destroy the Xbox brand.

What does this guy know about games? The guy only wants to make spending cuts, get easy profit through speculation and doesn't understand anything about innovation, he simply detonated the Nokia. Now apparently the the Nadella gave carte blanche to this
guy detonate the Xbox Division.

Who has to be the front of the Xbox Division is someone who understands about games. That Microsoft put as President of Xbox Division: Phil Spencer or j. Allard or Major Nelson or Peter Moore or Alex Kipman or Bill Gates but not Stephen Elop.

Microsoft needs a President who understands Xbox games Division, which is a man between 35 to 45 years of age who understands a lot of games, you know all about games from Tetris to Killer Instinct, since Odyssey until the XboxOne, who understands market
games American, Japanese, European and Brazilian, who knows how to differentiate a game of RPG and FPS. Stephen Elop is a bureaucrat and you don't know and don't even want to know how does the world of gaming.

Shareholders like sales right? Xbox One sold a million units day one right? Now with the next Xbox alot of people who bought day one this time are gonna hold off for a few months for when MS gets desperate and wants to boost year end sales. MS does care
about shareholders but they cant forget their initial buyers who made shareholders happy last November.

Today, November 15, 2014, was disclosed a speculation in major websites and forums of games of Brazil saying that Microsoft will sell the Xbox Division for Amazon.

I hope this is merely hearsay, because if I would happen to Microsoft is dead to me.

I'm also amazed by the fact that fans of the Xbox brand outside of Brazil seem not to care about these negative speculations about Microsoft get rid of Xbox Division.

Fans of the Xbox brand need to charge a specific positioning and honest from Microsoft on this subject that there are shareholders forcing Microsoft to sell the Xbox Division.

As the topic about the Xbox Division speculation to the Amazon was closed, instead of an official response from Microsoft for closure thios speculation, which would be something more efficient and noble, so I post it here in this topic.

Rumor or not, the fact is that this speculation of selling the Xbox Division for Amazon has already spread around the world.

The Nadella has started badly in the Presidency from Microsoft! Yes, he's a guy who really came to bring innovation to Microsoft, then she should start to innovate by giving a quick reply personally on this speculation and also making clear as President
of Microsoft if it is in favour or against the Xbox Division.

That Microsoft and Nadella, know that if they are against the Xbox Division, then Microsoft will be dead for me and for thousands of people around the world.

If Microsoft sell or destroy the Xbox Division, I make sure not to buy any product from Microsoft, I will encourage all my friends and relatives no longer acquire Microsoft products and will lobby for the company in which I work and other companies not to
purchase Microsoft products. Certainly, like me, several other people have similar posture.

Let me make this perfectly clear for Nadella and Microsoft which are the negative consequences in not treat with due respect to the Xbox brand.

I've seen similar stories making the rounds so it's not garbage. Certain MS shareholders do want to sell off or axe the XBox division.

 

You know how many shareholders there are? This rumor has been kicking around for a good 6 months at least...... it was rumored the guy who ran Nokia would get picked to run MS and he and a handful of shareholders favored getting rid of the xbox division.

It just makes no sense. They just spent a ton of money on the xb1 development and acrapton of money building the brand over the last dozen years. They finally build the business to the point where they are now making money and even making money on every
xb1 sold right out of the gate and they should now sell it??? Not to mention the Xbox brand has become a TREMENDOUS cultural brand name. There are people who hate MS, but you say Xbox and they love it.

Xbox became the cultural default name for gaming during this last generation. How many movies and TV shows refer to xbox when there is gaming to be showed. Or celebrities always refer to xbox when discussing gaming..... just like the prior gen, Playstation
was the cultural default name for gaming. There is no defining how huge that is. I don't believe it for a second

Xbox is a powerful brand. It's making them money. Even peel who don't like MS like Xbox. They have sunk billions into this division and it's begin to pay off the last few years. Sell now??? makes no sense at all

 

Anything can happen, but I wouldn't worry about it. Worst case scenario is MS would spin off the game division and that could actually be better in the long run, because the company would focus 100% on gaming.

Gamers are complaining that the XB1 is trying to be media hub at the expense of the console's power, and you can bet that idea didn't come from the gaming division.

Whatever happens, MS will not just "shut down" the game division because Live is a cash cow.

 

It's not "ending" it, they want to spin it off, aka make Xbox division its own company. Which has its ups and downs. MSFT would likely still own a large part of the new company

 

I honestly think if this is a scenario I don't think you're going to see MS suddenly just drop the xbox. Most likely what would happen is you won't have them make another console. I don't think it would be a good move for them to just outright abandon xbox
one, especially so soon.

Even if they abandon it, I would be willing to bet they are going to hang in there for a few years at least and maybe taper off support or just instead of abandoning it just not make an xbox to replace it (which with the way the console business is going
all current gen consoles may be the last consoles anyways. Could just be a dieing market sadly. Those Nintendo fans wanting to excuse Wii U's failures on the console market dieing could be right though I'm not sure why they should want/hope for that as an
excuse, it means Nintendo isn't coming back either and it's not just a one off failure on Nintendo's part).

I wouldn't sweat it so much unless it becomes more than a rumor. And I doubt MS will let it become more than a rumor until they are really ready to drop it (and as I said, I doubt that will happen until at least a few years from now.. it's too new and I
don't see them wanting to have spent all that money without at least trying to get their money back). Even then, I'd bet what you'd see more is not MS announcing they are dropping it, but them reducing support. Or even if they do, a sell off to another company
(which could be a good thing for xbox honestly. Another company may have more consumer friendly attitudes).
