To Whom It May Concern:



Hello my name is Mike and I received this email from a Microsoft Ambassador who suggested I send my story to it.



About 7 years ago due to a Mental Illness (Bipolar Type 1) I was forced to start my life over again after many lengthy stays in hospital from suicide attempts to major bouts of mania. I slowly started back to work at a Temp Agency and got my first
Xbox 360 to pass the time when not working. I have always been a sports fan so picked up a copy of Tiger Woods Golf and bought a copy every year to play online climb the ranks and play with the best gamers in the world which I did. Little did I know I would
meet the love of my life playing this very game. I met people from all over the world and started some great friendships but this one would and is changing my life.



I was a club member and GM of a club when one of my fellow female GM's introduced me to a new member Galdriel37 who was from Ontario about 20-30 mins away. After playing and talking to her for about 6 months I asked her if it would be all right to
meet up. We have never looked back since. Six months after we met she moved in with me and I just proposed to her on St Patrick’s Day. Our Wedding date is set for October 29, 2016. The girl from Tennessee that introduced us is coming up to be a part
of the Bridal Party.



All I want to say is that because of Xbox I was able to keep my mind straight on my days off, I met the love of my life who makes me want to be a better person every day. Xbox not only helped save my life but gave me the drive to keep pushing forward
and have a bright future with an amazing woman on her own accord. So THANK YOU Xbox from the bottom of my heart you will always be a part of our lives till the day we die.

First of all thank you for sharing such an amazing personal story with the Xbox Community! I hear about these things from other people but being able to hear your story first hand is truly awesome. You've overcome many obstacles in your life and come out
a stronger person because of it and managed to also find that special someone.

I think stories like this are amazing and if you don't mind I'd like to even share it internally here at Xbox. Again thank you sincerely for sharing this and I hope Oct. 29th is an absolutely wonderful and perfect day for you both!

This is a pretty great story, and just further cements how much I love the Xbox Community. I've seen similar stories like this, people meeting through Gears of War, or Halo, and think it's awesome you both met through golf.

It's also awesome to hear you are doing well.

I know it's a ways away, but let everyone know how the wedding goes when the big day comes.

I'm not the only one who has had there lives changed from their service.
