MyVIP still showing 4 stars. Not reflecting purchases made in December.

Last year I received the email regarding the myVIP status and the upcoming adjustments for the new year.

The email was received on Dec 17th. It stated I was 50$ away from the 5 star rating (it also mentioned that the amount needed only reflected purchases made up to the month of Sept-Oct I believe).

According the the FAQs about what qualifies, it basically says any store purchase that is not a preorder or related to "memberships" or "points" qualified.

I made more than enough with Overwatch winter boxes, Xbox games during the sales, and other items. (Three purchases dated between 12/21 - 12/29 totaling 70$, not to mention other purchases made during the first half of December that I assume would also be
in addition to the 70$, but I have not used in calculating the amount spent to meet the requirement).

When I came back after the new year I read the message that the system would have a new rating for me after the 5th. And I have returned only to see I am still sitting at 4 stars.

The initial page that showed the total amount needed to reach 5 stars was $1800. I am beginning to think that a lot of my purchases made this year (as shown in my account.microsoft.com order history) may not have been accurately counted considering the number
showing as my lifetime points rewarded.

Please provided me with a reason as to why I am not seeing 5 stars for myVIP when I have met the financial purchase requirements according to your site.

Xbox live rewards myVIP boost

hello, in the last few months you were running a promotion to boost your myVIP stars. It was to make an amount of purchases in an alloted time and I would be boosted from 3 stars to 4 stars. I believe i made enough purchases in the alloted time, but am still
on 3 stars. Your help would be very much appreciated.

Loss of star progress

Just checked my xbox live rewards account to find that I'm still only on 2 stars even though my purchases before new year should of put me on 3 stars. The points for my last purchase are showing as 31st December 2016.

Obviously being on 97% of the way to 3 stars only to have it reset for the year is a slight annoyance especially when I a made a purchase at least 6 days before the cut off.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

 

In-game consumables (Overwatch winter boxes) along with pre-orders and subscriptions do not qualify for MyVip. However, it is possible some of the Xbox game sales may not have tracked properly.

A rewards team member will review your account and reply to you here. The reward team works Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm PST and typically takes 1-2 business days to reply. They do not work weekends and reply to threads oldest to newest.

What content on the Xbox Store is eligible for MyVIP?

Normally, most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify, including full Games on Demand titles (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes, movies, TV shows, TV seasons,
themes and avatar items. In-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points or Xbox Gift Cards, still do not qualify.

Since Overwatch containers are in-game consumables, they do not progress MyVIP. However, we do have a follow-up regarding your account, and will private message you the details. You can read messages from the drop down menu that appears when you click your
avatar in the top right of this page.
