MyVIP status

so I have spent probably around $1200 dollars on Xbox This year and last year and I’m still not VIP rank 5.... could I please get some help with this? It’s rather frustrating I know I have hit the threshold to pass it for the last 3 years.

Apologies for the confusion. There was an error with MyVIP that was resolved this morning. You should now be seeing the correct MyVIP status.

 

Missing Status

We see that this gamertag still has a 5 star MyVIP star status, and recently received a deposit in April of the last payback event in March (which you received at a 5 star level). You can review your current MyVIP status on the MyRewards page.

 

Support will double check, but keep in mind as you're adding up purchases, subscriptions, in-game consumables, and preorders do not count towards VIP. Also, to reach level 5 you need to spend $1800 each year. $1200 is level 4.

 

I see I was not aware those things didn’t count.

What content can I earn a % back on purchases for?

Normally, most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify towards your MyVIP Star Rank and % back on purchases, including full Games on Demand titles (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes,
movies, TV shows, TV seasons, themes and avatar items. In-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, subscriptions like EA Access and Xbox Game Pass, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points
or Xbox Gift Cards, still do not qualify.

Additionally, 1200 USD is the requirement for rank four, which we see you are. 1800 USD is the requirement for five stars.
