MyVIP Star Rank reset from Tier 3 to 0

I noticed recently that the "MyVIP Star Rank" went from Tier 3 to Tier 0? I was almost at Tier 4 actually. Been on the rewards program since 2010.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Xbox live rewards VIP star rank put back yet again

I received an email to check my VIP star rank on 5th Jan & cant believe it has been reset yet again.

I was 3 star VIP nearly 4 star last year and was reset back to 0% 3 star and now this has happened again this January when just coming up to 4 star rank. Not happy as for 2nd year I'm starting 3 star again 0%. This is a complete waste of time as spend money
to up my rank and you just go and put it back to 0%.

MyVIP Star Rank Has Reset

MyVIP Star Rank was at 75% or so to my 5th and final star now it is saying I have 0% towards the 5th

Support will double check, but ranks reset each year. They were just reset in January. So you need to spend the same amount or more each year in order to maintain or raise your level.

MyVIP has a recalibration every year. At the end of the year, we place you in your MyVIP rank for the new year based off your eligible spending from the previous year, and set your progress to the default state. This happened in September 2015 and December
2016. Your current MyVIP rank for the new year is based off your spending from September 2015 - December 2016. Additionally, we see that your progress at the end of last year was 23%. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (Xbox Live Rewards).

Hi CoachxBrown. You currently need $94 in order to get to level 3. We are not resetting progress to the MyVIP Star Rank at the end of the year, so you'll be good!

There is currently an issue processing user purchases correctly for MyVIP. We have determined the root cause for this issue and are working on deploying a hotfix, which should be available by the end of the month. Apologies for the confusion.

Ranks reset each year. In order to maintain or raise your rank, you need to spend the same amount or more each year. Thanks will reset again on January 1st. So you would need to spend enough to reach level 4 by December 31 in order to be put back at level
4.
