Is not the Xbox Live Rewards MyVips program cumulative?

For me, it was not enough for me to finally get my first star in the ranking.

And since the first day of 2017 my account has cleared again.

MyVIP Star Rank reset?

I just noticed that MyVip Star rank went back to a 1 and I'm now 81% of the to my next star. I was a 3 with 82% of the way to my next star. So instead of almost having 4 stars, I almost have 2. What happened?

There is currently an issue processing user purchases correctly for MyVIP. We have determined the root cause for this issue and are working on deploying a hotfix, which should be available by the end of the month. Apologies for the confusion.

 

No. VIP ranks reset each year. You have to spend the same, or more, each year to either maintain your star level or move on to the next level. If you spend less, you can drop to a lower level.
