MyVIP Gems not being added for Gamerscore increase

For increasing your gamerscore by 1000 you get 2 gems.

There's also a bonus when you reach a new tier in the "MyAchivements" section; the higher the level, the higher the bonus.

Apologies for the inconvenience. It appears that all gamerscore Gems were backdated to around when the Gem statement released. As you mention, if you have 230 Gems, that would be about 115,000 gamerscore increase.

What are MyVIP Gems?



MyVIP Gems are a new way to be rewarded for engaging in Xbox Live Rewards and your Xbox in addition to Rewards Credits. You can earn gems for completing a MyChallenge or offer, clicking on an email, spending in the Microsoft Store, or as a Reward for
a MyVIP Perk like improving your Gamerscore, celebrating a birthday or anniversary, or reaching a new MyAchievements tier. And this is just the start, as we’ll be adding even more ways to earn gems in the future.


Most importantly, you’ll use your MyVIP Gems to get prizes from the MyVIP Vault. You can trade them in as soon as you have enough for a prize, or save them for something big… the choice is up to you.

We believe the method you are referring to is the 2 Gems per 1000 Gamerscore increase, listed under
G. Earning MyVIP Gems:

Like most of our program, it should take up to 96 hours for us to receive and process any change to your Gamerscore.

Increase your Xbox Gamerscore

For each incremental increase of your Xbox Gamerscore by 1,000, you will receive two (2) MyVIP Gems.

Increase your Xbox Live Rewards MyAchievement Tier

For each new Xbox Live Rewards MyAchievement tier you achieve, you will you will have sixty (60) days to claim your MyVIP Gems within your Account. By doing so, you will receive the following amount of MyVIP Gems:

How do I collect my MyVIP Gems?



It depends on how you earn them. If a MyVIP Gem is earned for completing a MyChallenge or as a Reward for a MyVIP Perk like your birthday, Xbox Live Rewards anniversary, Gamerscore increase, or MyAchievements tier, you’ll be notified by email and will
then have 60 days to claim them on the MyRewards page.


However, gems earned by clicking on an email, completing a monthly offer, or making digital purchases in the Microsoft Store will be automatically added to your MyVIP Gem balance. Please note that gems earned by making purchases or by completing an offer
on the site can take up to 96 hours to appear in your gem balance.

We see that this perk is still awaiting your claim on the MyRewards page.
