Mysteriously reset Xbox account

So last year I got my hands on an Xbox one. I set myself up as one would, bought gold for months so I could play hard online etc. I also had my significant other log onto his account too, so we both could be set up. (He also had gold and ended up being our “main” account for a while)

One day not too long after I was randomly logged out of Only my account while his stayed on the xbox. After that I kept putting off signing back in again/resetting my pass etc as im lazy and I could still use his account to play everything I need. I wasnt convinced anything could be wrong? Idk devices glitch? Anyways today i log in. My gamertag has changed to something ugly. As has my profile picture. Along with my friends/followers/gamerscore and achievements reset. All gone. Any ideas? Id say at this point ive been kicked out for quite a few months and my gold has definitely expired. We thought it could have been a hacker but..

Any ideas?? At all? Kinda confused. I don’t mind starting fresh.. but I at least want my gamer tag fixed.

basically I’m wondering if it’s possible I contact Microsoft to ... recover all of my stuff? Gold or not. I’d love to have it.. I’m not quite sure what caused it to lock down in the first place. This is the first Xbox I’ve owned

Turns out that the glitch is that the gamma and sensitivity settings mysteriously reset themselves to 0%.

sometimes things can happen that aren't expected or meant to happen, and the people in the forums have no way to tell why etc.

Regarding the issue it may be best to contact Xbox Support to see what they advise to fix the issue, it may require you to move one of the accounts (the correct or wrong one) to a different Microsoft Account.

But like I said contact Xbox Support to see what they think is best.

Id like to think that is the problem but i can't find any options to change from a child to an adult account.

also theres still the mystery of why i have to log in to a second account which is not mine and i've never heard of to change just about every option that isnt a password reset in my own account
