    My XSX controller won’t turn on?


    Not sure if others have had this problem recently, but my Xbox Series X controller was working just fine until it suddenly wouldn’t turn on today. When I press the Xbox button on it the button won’t even light up. I tried new batteries of course and that didn’t work.

    The weird thing is that it does work when I plug it in to the console, but the moment I unplug it it’ll turn off again. I’ve tried turning off my Xbox and on again, disconnecting the power cable for a while and also updated the controller, still nothing.

    On one occasion when I tried turning it on without it being plugged in the Xbox light on the controller briefly lit up, but not fully and it was more like half a blink.

    Has this happened to anyone here? Will I just have to buy a new controller?

    Do you know if there will be a fix coming soon for this? Id like to be able to use my series 2 controller on my pc and XSX the same way i use my XSX controller on PC and Xbox.

    Its a hassle having to repair each to each device.

    Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue trying to play with your controller.

    Since this is a controller issue, I would say the best course of action would be for you to try the steps here on

    Troubleshoot your Xbox One wireless controller    . It was posted specifically for controller issues so that should help.

    When you get a chance, give that a shot and let us know how that helped in resolving the issue.

    Welcome

    If you have a cable that will plug into your Xbox controller, and Xbox Console, please try plugging this into the console to see if it is the Battery Pack or if there is something wrong with the controller its self.

    Please can you tell me what type of controller you have, also?
