My XboxOne network Latency in London Around 142 And My PC 7 ?

The ping on my Xbox One is always 149 or 150. I'm on EE fiber 36mb down 10mb up. Connected wirelessly via 802.11a 5GHz. Makes absolutely no difference if I connect via wire. I play a lot of PvZ and it's a bit laggy at times which is how I ended up here.

However, Titanfall is not laggy and nor was Destiny Beta.

A ping of 150 is definitely consistent with a US server but with games I think you connect to a domestic server if the game is hosted near you.

As for the cloud, Microsoft have servers in every domain around the world it's just whether the game developers host their games on their own servers, rent game servers from the likes of Amazon or Microsoft or allow the users to host them (PvP).

Hard to determine with a closed box like the Xbox One. I will look to my router I think to see what it's connecting to and use a PC to run a few tests.

@jackson5jerry - You're comparing/measuring two different things, and to be more precisely, the distance between two endpoints. One, were you have a significantly shorter distance to the host you're trying to ping. And one were you have a significantly longer
distance to the host you're trying to ping.

You see, bitstreams of data that needs to traverse the Internet-at-large through an electric currents, are sensitive to the concept of distance. The longer a message has to travel and traverse through the Internet, between to endpoints, the longer it'll
take to receive a reply from a sent request.

Go ahead and run a speedtest, using your computer, with the same connection type as for your console (wireless, wired).

Now, instead of using default settings (test against a host, based on best ping reply), change the location to host/tst server located in Seattle, WA (US) and have us know the outcome of this test.

Im in Hong Kong, which isnt officially supported yet, however im having the same issue. 130mb connection, low latency to everything else, but 190~260ms for the xbone.

I fully understand that we are connecting to the us for our games, but really wishing au or the eu had their own servers. While the latency doesnt impact battlefield 4 all that much, it has a huge effect on ghosts. I typically run about .5 seconds_ behind
everyone else. Which means i can unload on someone, watch them turn around, and fire 2 bullets into me and die, leaving only the replay showing me standing there doing nothing.

Really hoping they add servers. (note that even if all were p2p, the odds of me not having a single great match inover 70 hours of gameplay is very slim)

Bf4 servers on xbox one are a bit dicey at best right now, ive found the best thing to do is when in server browser do NOT select any game modes only select maps, amount of players and your region then youll see servers pop up and you can select from there.
As for latency, I live in the uk and our xbox ones ping to seattle hence the high latency but it doesn't affect my bf4 experience I get no lag ever. Hope this helps in some way.

I also have this problem I have 14 mbs down and 1mbs up but my latency is averaging about 150ms. This means I can't connect to certain multiplayer modes on bf4. I'm not happy about this . And want to know would I still have this problem if I took this back
and got a ps4?
