My friend changed my gamertag and i want it back to the original without paying 10$ if you can help.

One way is for your buddy to pay the $10. After all, he didn't have your approval.

microsoft cannot do much as if there is no proof this could be abused to get free gametag changes sorry

if the friend has access via gamesharing then this could lead to a ban, change password now and make sure not to abuse the home setting, as this is your responsibility to keep the account secure you will have to pay.

If he did this in person on the console then you should have had it secure and again your responsibility.
