My Xbox1 comes on goes to main screen but no controller problems

I can bring up the main page, but no controller works, I bought a new one and even plugged one in, new batteries, I have tried a reset but won't go to trouble shoot page......help!

Its in the right region as its in the next room. No code comes up just goes back to main screen

That did not work for me. I tried turning off my controller on the main menu screen and re-syncing my controller on the main menu screen. It still will not register the start button. I haven't had this problem with any other game. I was able to start up
games like Banjo and Kazooie, or Conker live and reloaded with no problem.

Our Xbox1 is stuck at the initial green screen. We haven't seen any controller setup screen yet. now 40 min waiting.
