    My xbox won't update because the storage device won't send the update


    My xbox won't update because the storage device hasn't sent the message and now I can't use my xbox until the storage device wil allow the update to happen. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

    Xbox wont let me sign in says I have no storage but I have more than enough (xbox 360 new update)

    Xbox 360 has a new update that is required, and it says, "If you decline, you won't be able to connect to Xbox Live until you take the update...". Now I have tried to update it multiple times, but it wont let me because it says, "You don't have enough
    storage space to take this update. Please connect an Xbox 360 storage device with at least 190 MB free space." I have a storage in my Xbox 360 hardware drive, and I had over 30 GB left which is more than enough to update the system. I tried to access my storage,
    but when I do it says, "No storage devices found.", which is bogus because its in my Xbox 360 system. I'm kinda *** either way because they wont let me sign in, and then on top of that won't me access my storage at all because I think its linked with my Xbox
    Live. My internet connection is perfectly fine by the way.

    Hey again Raptor!

    This looks like the exact issue we were having before where the correct update simply isn't on the marketplace anymore. Unfortunately, formatting your storage devices, etc won't enable you to download the correct update because that update isn't available.

    They won't be automatically updated as they are both different storage devices. If you want the Cloud updated you should choose to use the Cloud.

    No, that won't work.

    Persistent storage is for clearing the cache (a very small cache I might add) for Blu-ray movie discs that can connect online. It has nothing to do with games.

    The reason why your game won't update is likely because the storage device the game is installed to is full. Game updates have to go to the same storage that game is installed to.

    1. Move your game to another external drive.

    2. Run the game, you'll get the update notification and the update should now download.

    Xbox 360 HDD preservation (Blades Dashboard)

    The update for Xbox 360 is either downloaded from Xbox Live or updated via a disc or USB drive. A replacement hdd won't force an O.S update to my knowledge.

    The main Operating System is stored on a non user accessible flash storage anyway.

    If you don't update the console you won't lose the blades.
