My Xbox wont start

Hi all

my XBOX One won't start.

Today after I shout down my XBOX power button started flashing.

After 2 hours I left my home and whan I was back I tried to power on my XBOX but it turns off exactly after 17 seconds.

1. Power brick light is steady yellow and after power on (during mentioned 17 seconds) is steady white.

2. Vent is running (i can feel air movement under my hand)

3. all possible reset buttons (power - eject - bind) are not functioning

4. there is no Picture at all, like nothing is connected on TV (cable is functioning)

Call back option on XBOX support throws error.

please advise how to proceed.

I'm sorry to hear about your Xbox powering off on it's own.

How long have you owned your Xbox? When did you purchase it?

I know you mentioned that you're receiving an error when you try to set up a call back from Customer Support.

What region / country are you located in?

Yellow light on the power brick tends to mean a bad power brick.

You can try unplugging it completely for at least 30 seconds to reset it and plugging it back in. If it stays yellow its a bad power brick.

Do you either have another brick from an Xbox One or a friend willing to loan you one to make sure its just the brick?

My original Xbox also use to do this to me, what i would do is unplug everything and let it sit for a minute or two, plug it all back in and start it up, sometimes it took 2 or 3 times, but it would eventually turn on, it was old when it started happening.
I also had this happen when taking it to a friends and using a extension cord it would work in the wall outlet though..

If your vents look dusty i would give them an air spray.

Same symptoms. :/

do all steps for brick reset and all steps you described :/

Flashing power button after shut down means that update is running, right?

i’m located in Germany

Also I’ve tried to open support case but I need to send Xbox to service point and preaprove around 160€ costs in advance.

Device is not under waranty anymore and I’ve purchase it from Microsoft Store in Fall 2016
