My Xbox won't restart or reset.

My Xbox one X stopped working last week. I have tried restarting it, downloading updates offline, and factory resetting it. It crashes half way through all of these options.

It won't even let me factory reset it. It starts, but then just takes me back to this screen. What should I do now?

If you have followed all the steps in the Startup Error Troubleshooter and nothing has worked then unfortunately
the only option left is a console repair. E106 indicates a hardware failure which is usually the hard drive. I'm sorry. If its covered under warranty still you can initiate the repair process from the devices page of your Microsoft account.

I would still try the repair option. With it being so close it might go through. Hardware failure can happen at any time, it's why warranties exist.

Thank you. The warranty ran out 2 days ago. I've only had it for a year. Is that how long an xbox lasts? My last one was replaced for free as it died after 9 months. The "repair" is a replacement for £236. That is crazy! That can't be right.

It's the xbox 360 and I've tried resetting my Internet testing connection and I tried restarting my console still won't let me log in

Try doing a hard reset, hold down the power button on the console until it turns off. It will take longer to reboot but it will refresh the system.
