    my Xbox one X does not play Xbox 360 games it doesn't give me a pop-up it doesn't seem to make very much noise and it seems to not even try.

    If I in a DVD or Xbox one game it plays no problem.

    this is very frustrating as I have replaced two Xbox one disk drives in the past and then I've also had my 360 before that go bad it wouldn't even open the disk tray.

    It's a real shame that Microsoft can't make a decent disk drive when it's not even used regularly.

    I seriously can't understand why it won't show anything when I put in an Xbox 360 disc but everything else works fine. For 360 no pop up no error code nothing.

    Would I be able to okay games I bought on xbox live (games on demand) in the new xbox one like they are linked to my account so, when I get the xbox one I can sign in on my account and download the games I bought

    You won't be able to play any Xbox 360 games on the X1, whether they're disk or games on demand. The X1 isn't backwards compatible.

    Clean your disk and make sure there are no scratches on the disk itself

    It's not like you'll be able to just insert your 360 game disk and play. Far from it. Everyone will have to rebuy each game or subscribe to a rental service so...not really backwards compatible TBH. Backward compatible won't exist here...sorry.

    Hello if you own Xbox 360 games and are backwards compatible, they will appear automatically in Ready to Install. If you do not have them digitally and you have them on the disk and the games are backwards compatible, you can play these games over the
    disk.
