My Xbox wireless headset keeps saying I’m fully in game chat when in a party

Please verify that the Xbox wireless headset you are using has its firmware completely updated (Although you already mentioned it, I would recommend checking again):

Profile and system > Settings > Devices and connections > Accessories > Check if they are up to date.

Many times when Xbox wireless headsets are outdated they can cause problems like the one you are experiencing specifically with the console so it would be worth ruling that out as a possible reason. I would recommend visiting the following link to try resetting your headphones.

Here’s the strange thing none of my wired or wireless headsets work for game chat and I didn’t even change anything on my wireless headset and my software for my wireless headset is completely up to date so is my Xbox controllers as well so what else could it possibly be I’m out of possible ideas to try I’ve tried turning off and turning the console and controllers and headset off and back on again and still nothing party chats fine though and I’ve not really used my wireless headphones that much either and it doesn’t even work anymore either

The OFFICAL Wireless Xbox Headseat is CHAT ONLY. There is no way to get game audio out of the headset.

It helped, for the most part, for MW2 but not Warzone 2.

The fix I have in MW2 keeps it from disconnecting, however if I’m on the game for a more than an hour, it cuts in and out. Which doesn’t make any sense, and I can’t figure out how to fix that.

I cannot, however, use it in Xbox chat. As soon as I connect to the party chat, I will have about 10 minutes of game and chat audio, then the game chat immediately cuts out. And that’s on both games.

I’m still able to hear my team when that happens, but the game is completely muted.

All in all, doesn’t fully work, but it helps. I would avoid party chat if you can.

Sorry for the issue with the sound in headsets not working as it should. When you are in a party chat does it seem to be bothered, or is it game chat and party chat? You can try the

troubleshooting steps for chat headsets. Keep in mind the headset you have is also a third party so troubleshooting is limited.
