My Xbox wireless headset is only lasting a few hours, why is that?

It should last for 15 hours. In this case, we need to perform troubleshooting steps.

Please update it. On Xbox X|S and Xbox One consoles, you can access the Accessories app in the Settings menu: Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories

You could try and charge it via a wallplug. I have rechargable batteries for my controllers and I find that they last longer once fully charge via the wall plug then they did when charge via my xbox. They also charge quicker

This might be a long shot, but I had quite a lot of connection drops with the headset and the wireless adapter. Turns out that disabling bluetooth in windows fixed the problem, I've got no clue why. If i enable it again -> connection drops every few minutes again. Bluetooth on the headset itself was not used, only the wireless adapter.

Xbox Wireless headset works great for me, I only spent £10 on it, Why spend loads.

[/quote]Exactly. I had the pleasure of owning 2 wireless headsets for the Xbox 360 - both stopped working permanently a month after I bought them. I'm not saying I don't like wireless headsets in general (my TB x42s work quite nicely), I just don't like
the Xbox 360 brand of wireless headsets, hence my previous comment.
